HTML

Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) is a computer language devised to allow website creation. The markup tells web browsers how to display a web page's words and images. HTML is a series of short codes typed into a text-file.

HTTP

HyperText Transfer Protocol (HTTP). The communications protocol used to connect to Web servers on the Internet or on a local network (intranet). Its primary function is to establish a connection with the server and send HTML pages back to the user's browser.

HTTPS

HyperText Transport Protocol Secure (HTTPS) is the encrypted version of HTTP.
