A roadmap is a strategic overview of the major elements of a project. A roadmap is not as detailed, as a project plan. It’s a high-level strategic view and does not delve into the day-to-day tasks or a detailed view of what everyone is working on. Roadmaps are used both to communicate a project’s strategic objectives to stakeholders and as an ongoing reference guide to keep them on track with their project’s progress.
